Rent-A-Center: Canceled Agreement--Still have furniture
May 9, 2008
Rent A Center complaint by Heather
We have been renting furniture from a RAC in Lexington, KY. We are moving out of the state and have canceled our agreement that was one week ago and still have the furniture.

We have called the store three times, sent an e-mail to customer service, and have also made a call to customer service. At one point the store said that they were on their way, would be there any minute--never showed! Another phone call and we were told we weren't even on the schedule. Yet another phone, and we were told they would call us back and they never did. Spoke to customer service and was not sure if I would be charged for the week or not!

In addition to phone calls, I did e-mail, never had a reply.

They hired a homosexual stalker named Larry Byrd to work with me when I worked there. I quit in October and he's still stalking me. He also told customers that he would get their "other" rental merchandise in his own car while we were getting rental merchandise from people's houses. Incredibly enough this merchandise didn't appear in the Rent-A-Center store! Don't rent from Rent-A-Center!
