Renting furniture from Rent-a-Center feels like being on home arrest. I feel trapped by the threatening phone calls on the day a payment is due. But today topped it all off. After making a payment, a guy calls me back and says "you didn't have to hang up like that!". Hello, I just made a payment what more has to be said to you. And for that matter who are you to call me back and say I hung up on you. Just take my damm payment and leave me alone. I really feel they need more training in customer service and how to really deal with people. If ever possible please stay away from these want-a-be cops or something!!!!!!!

Not all Rent-A-Centers are the same! Unless your payments are in default on a EVERY WEEK basis!!!

The way we work is this, You being the consumer have the right to stop doing business at any time during the agreement. That same agreement you signed when you started the contract for the merchandise you wanted stated how you have choosen to pay. Weather it be weekly, bi-weekly, simi-monthly or monthly. You agreed to make the payment on a certin day or date!

When you start renting from a rent to own company in most cases, not all, the consumer has little or no credit! sometimes very bad credit! Being that we do not check your credit history, and do not report to the credit bureau, we pre approve 99.9% of our customers and from there we start the contract by making the initial payment and that is to set you up correctly on you next paydate!

Should you not make the renewal payment on or by the due date, that is a 1st payment default! "The first few months of payments shows us what to expect from the customer! But keep in mind, YOU signed a contract that states you are to make your renewal payment on or before the due date. Turning that payment history around will help and most Rent A Centers are willing to work with the customer to get them back on track. It just can't keep being a bail-out for the customer. There are only so many customers we can help out durring a 1 month period and we would like to help customers that are not always in default on their contracts. Remember!!!!! FREE TILL FEB. 7TH 2009 at your Local RENT a CENTER!!!!!!!!
