Playstation 4 Review

Was looking for a way to get a playstation 4 and was excited when I heard about RAC weekly payoffs. Went online and was ridiculously shocked when they wanted about twice of what it's worth. Yall sure do know how to rip people off.

Rent a center called my friend looking for me

I was wondering why Rent a center did not call or pick up the item i have been asking them to pick up for a month. i was over my friends house and her cell phone rings. she answers and tells me the phone is for me. i say hello,it's rent a center. now i know that they know that is wrong. why are they hunting me down like a dog in heat? can i sue them can anyone help me.rent a center went into my referions and called one of the people that i use for them to concat for when they call when you fill out the app.

Being an employee of RAC, I know the policies. No, you cannot sue them for that.

When they called the reference, one of the questions they would have had to ask was if they could call that reference if they had any trouble getting in touch with you.

So, they did their job. Not anything illegal or anything you could sue them for.

Broker verbal contract, sold my item to someone else

My special-needs sister needed a multi-disc cd player. Instead of going on-line I tried to support local businesses. I went to RaC, they didn’t have one in the store but they ordered one and call and leave a message when it came in. It was to be a cash transaction. When they didn’t call I called them. I was told it had just arrived. I told them I needed to go out of state for a medical appointment but would come in Saturday with the cash. When I arrived Saturday there was a line of people so I stood in line and waited. About 15-20 minutes later, while looking at the unit I ordered, I was told that I wasn’t mine. Apparently after it came in someone else wanted it, (they SAID they called me, didn’t leave a message), then sold the item out from under me. I fulfilled all of my obligations under our verbal contract. They did not. I do not believe they acted ethically.

Rent to own places aren't local businesses, they care a franchised nationwide chain, just like a lot of other stores. I know a lot of special needs people that get by with single SD players.

While drunk in my own home Rent a Center came to collect payment I told them to leave they called the police, they showed up an because i was so drunk they were concered about my safty but a dreind stopped by an aggreed to look after me. The police officer told rent a center it was a private matter but while the police were still here an without permission they entered my home an took my property they called freinds my work and landlord harrasing them for payment i just found out i may have cancer an was put on disabilty an this is how they treeat customers

Wichita Falls Rent a Center are thieves

I've made several payments to my account online, yet they claim those payments put me behind and demanded I give them another $190 the day my $70 payment was due. I paid it of course, but she showed me a list of my payment history and there were several unnacounted for that went through my bank account. Everything we have gotten from them has been damaged. I will never do business with them again! They are so very rude. If I'm more than a day late they are literally banging on my door the very next day. It's absolutely ridiculous. You have to be pretty cold hearted to work there I suppose.

We paid 1200.00 for a recliner and it has a lifetime warranty but its not covered because it's over a year

We were promised that if the chair needed repaired we would be given a shipping label at no cost to us and they would give us a loner chair until the original chair was repaired. And if the original chair was not able to be fixed we would receive a new chair comparable to the one we originally purchased.

None of this has happened. Not even close!

what did we pay for! this headache, This hassle!, No one wanting to help us!, A $200.00 spring?, What did we sign on for?

My husband and I purchased an Ashley Chair from a local rent a center and we paid for the lifetime warranty on that chair. We were told that anything that happened to the chair would be covered with the exception of normal wear and tear. Well, 3 years later a spring just breaks and shoots out of the bottom of the chair. We called the store were we purchased it and were told to call Ashley Manu. because it was past a year. Ok I do this and now they say we don't deal with the customer only the store have them call us, Ok I do this, The store says no we don't do that they are giving you the run around. So needless to say a few phone calls back and forth later. Ashley will mail us the spring and we have to figure out how to put the stinking thing on ourselves! we paid over $200 for a warranty for no reason! all in all I guess we just paid $200 for a spring. This was a major hassle and it's not over yet, We still have to get the spring and figure how to put it on ourselves. What did we pay $1200.00 for we could have purchased 3 lazy boys for this price. We got ripped off!

There is no lifetime warranty for rent a center. 200$ is roughly the cost of the 1year warranty.

I rented from rent a center a couple of times and brought my rental equipment with no negative balance and every one was happy upon leaving. Well 3 or so months later I find out from a source that a couple of employees, one being a manager,mind you, used my account to purchase a Flat screen tv and $700.00 galaxy S5 Phone without my consent until I stumbled across my email indicating that I had an outstanding bill and that how would I like to make payment arrmanagements. I was like "Really" this can't be true. But it was and Im in the process of pursuing this matter then I'll let you know the end results.Thanks!!

Rent A Center - Advertisement Review from Harker Heights, Texas

On Oct.4th, 2014 I became a member of RAC and rented the 55in Led Smart TV and 32in Led package. I got my internet connection on, but was bummed to find out it's not even a smart tv... It's only 3D capable. I'm sorry that's kinda False advertisement.. I had to cancel my Internet service, I think for the Hassle and Money, I basically waisted I think RAC should offer me and my family your new monthly TV package 65inSMART and 32in for the same leasing conditions I'm currently signed... I mean this is your Company's mistake and I'm not going to keep giving you money for something I don't want that defeats the purpose of renting. But RAC is responsible for this.. I would just like to be a Satisfied customer...

You aren't on the RAC web site. This is a general complaint site.

The purpose of renting isn't what you stated, it is because you couldn't get credit to buy the TV anyplace else.

Buy what you can afford instead of needing the biggest and fanciest. If all you can afford is a 27" TV, so be it, use that instead of trying to make a big impression on people.

My washer

on saturday after noon stave the manger at your cottman store and one of his coworkers came to my home woke us up and told us i called and told him to pick up a payment my husband told him that was a lie cause me my husband and son had just got up to the door bell ringing so after my husband told him he was a lie he told us we had to pay a payment of 90 dollars out loud in front of my door my husband said my wife will be in on monday he said no you need to pay now' he got mader my husband got mader he the told my husband he was going to knock my *** door in so after that i made my husband come in and i called your office is this the way your company works when your customers owes moneys please help me i dont no when steve might be standing out side my door i dont like being in fere like this.

I don't like the way you spell. Apparently you were late or behind in payments and when that happens, the various rent to own places do what you described.

However, I don't think they made the actual scene that you say they did, and I don't think they threatened you. They also have the right to take the merchandise back if you can't make payments.

It is just like any other place that you owe money to, only the other places will turn you over to a collection agency and you will keep getting all kinds of phone calls demanding payment and the amount you owe will be more because the collection agency will have added a fee onto the amount. Grow up!!!

Rent-A-Center employee's are sooooo nice when you walk in, but once they get your money, you're treated like trash! PART 1

The true criminal comes out of Rent-A-Center employee once they get your money. See, it's usually the only job they can get, most of them are CRIMINAL'S anyway, that's why they can talk you out of all your money if you let them. Here's my story! I walked into the West Sacramento location on Jan 22nd, 2015, they were sooooo nice. Polite and talking like car salesmen is their specialty. As we all know, RAC has been ROC aka RIP OFF Center for many, many years, but it's the only way to get and item asap for little money. I had gone to get a TV and possibly other items, a Blu-ray player was NOT one of them. I just wanted the TV for that day. Of course, they talked me into a Blu-Ray Player brand new in the box. You have to have 4 references, they have to verify before they deliver anything. I'm not from CA so I knew at least one of my reference's would take a day or 2. I explained that I was going to Walmart from there (I had my cart) and if they could bring it that night, let me know b/c I'm NOT going home. As I thought, one of my references didn't call so I said tomorrow (meaning the next day) I won't be home until after 4pm because I had a dentist appointment. In the meantime, I found another reference so it was approved and they were "loading the truck" to bring it the same night. I told the girl I was going to Walmart, of course, they can't bring it the next day. They called that "miscommunication," I called that "just don't *** listen." The girl and the boy had a nerve to get smart with me on the phone, so I said "I'll be there to get my money" huh, their whole attitude changed! We will bring it tomorrow between 6 and 8pm. I thought so! Well, the boy shows up with a 40 inch screen TV under one arm and a huge box (Blu-ray) with several speakers under the other arm. I had to grab the TV and carry it myself. Then he tells me he was tired and he's supposed to set it up for me, but I can handle it. He also said, if I have a problem with setting it up to call him only. If I call the store, tell them "I" messed something up and need help fixing it. Well, I set it up because it don't take a genius, but the 2 speakers that plug into the internet box do not work. You match the colors, so I knew it was set up right. Of course, I call the store and tell them the LIE that I messed up. They try and tell me over the phone how to fix it. I call the boy's cell phone and he tells me, he's tired and on over-time already. Oh yeah, well I guess the truth will come out now, so I call the store. The girl told me they were closing so she would take my number home and call me. YEAH RIGHT! I knew better, it was Saturday night too. Monday, I still get no where with these people. Back and forth, we will call you, blah blah blah. By Tuesday, I get a so called "manager" on the phone. I said hey, I will keep it, but take $200 off, he said he can't do that. Well, come and get it. He said I will try and switch the speakers out of this "brand new" product. He claims he was going to call me when he was on his way to switch the speakers out. Well, I wait and wait and wait until 8pm. No call, no show. I call on Wednesday and he had the day off. So I called corporate. To make a long story short, he lied and said he called me. If he called when he was on his way, what did I say? Did you leave a message? He had a nerve to say they waited for me when I was fed up and told them to come get it. I told them, I'm going out and if you don't get it today, come tomorrow. I'm not sitting around for them and I was not worried about the deadline, because Alana will get her money back, I wasn't worried about that. Of course, the bus was late and they showed up to get it. I told the guy at the front desk who called me to tell them to leave and come back tomorrow. It's not my fault the bus was late. He waited, that was on him. Oh, by the way, he waited a whole long 10 minutes. They tried to make that an issue after ALL I went through with them. Then, they told me I will get 2 free weeks and sucked more money out of me before the 2 free weeks was up. The woman from corporate called twice at night when I was in the shower. The day she got me, she listened and said thanks for the feed back. Just unbelievable! The manager was pissed because I called corporate, he let me know that. That is why I sat for over 30 minutes waiting to make a payment. They run their mouths about their life when they're trying to get your money, but once they get it, it's a wrap! If you can people, save your money and buy from a real store. Stop giving ignorance your business! Part 2 on the way.....................................................

Vizio Tv Review

Renting a vizio tv, went out, they replaced with an used tv...now it is having troubles within 3 months. Have invested so much, triple for what I could've bought one for. Best advice I can give is....it isn't worth it, just save the money to buy whatever you are looking for!!! They are a total rip off!!!

Rent A Center - Dresser Review from Watseka, Illinois

Rent a center rented me a bed and bed set when they delivered the dresser drawers were stuck and had to be pulled open with full force and they told me the would fix after boss approved three weeks go by and nothing finally they said they would replace it with new one they brought it and same thing with these dresser drawers so I told them and never got a response I keep paying them until a couple weeks ago and talked to a guy that said he would asked for approval to fix finally I've had enough I called today and told them they can come get it and they said we will get it when u pay the last couple weeks ur behind I'm not giving them another penny does anybody no a helpline to file a complaint or website becuz I'm not paying them nothing its bogus

Experience in getting items and delivery was great! The experience was quite opposite on the return. Miscommunication with pick up times and Manager was. Not having a great day. Didn't like her customer service skills! None at least like her job! Anyway a delivery person named Koa actually came back to the house and picked up my item. He should be rewarded for excellent service and great customer skills and attitude. Store located in kamuela Hi 96743.
