They call after a week wanting money off of the rental that i just sent back, i paid them two weeks advance they give me a gold ticket for 79 dollars to rent what ever i want, it doesnt have a date, i mention that i would like to have my money back that they owe me for that one week and they said after 7 days they dont refund any money. They are thiefs!!!!! And they dont even put down things in their books when they pick up they keep calling me and reminding me of a late payment which was picked up a week ago.

Monetary Loss: $79.

What if they take your money and never deliver the item in question with no calls to the customer. When i call to see what is going on they hang up on me.

I was told if i start paying on a lap top and send it back for reasons that i cant pay it off. I can either pick up payments or i can out right buy an already used product of lesser value.

I had put $500 into a lap top. I went to the store to get a product worth $300. They flat out told me no they will take some months off of the product and that is it.

What happens to the extra $300 that i put into the product. That is stealing my money!!!

Your going to pay alot more then retail because there are No credit checks or deposits. If you don't pay RAC will send someone out to recover thier property.

Best advice I can give is save up and buy cash else where or atleast pay of your rental agreement in 90 days and save some money. If you pay weekly and go to term,you will pay 4.33 times retail

I don't know what rac you are dealing with, but the one that i frequent are very helpful. Ihad one problem and called customer services and immediately received

results.

I have been renting from RAC for years, and yes, mistakes have been made. Any time I have had a problem or needed to get clarification on something however, I have always gotten what I needed.

I find it's a matter of who you talk to, and how you talk to them.

If you call the manager, and speak to them concisely and civilly you may find that your problem gets resolved. If you talk to someone who has no decision making authority and you yell at them, you are going to get nowhere.

The district manager is why i no longer do business with Rent a Center. Dont waste your time, you will get nowheres.

I did call the customer service and that was a waste of time, they dont care about the customers. I travel alot and i am telling everyone that will listen to run from rent a center, there are way more professional companies out there.

Citygirl4ever - So sorry to hear you're having a bad experience. (Yes, I work at RAC.) Please call the customer service line and escalate the issue to the store's district manager. Their number is 800-422-****.

Call customer service? I'm calling them right now and have been on hold since I dialed the 1-800 number and have been on hold for 45 minutes. Great customer service.
