The only problem I have with Rent A Center is their in store credit policy. You pay on a item for so long and you return it because you can't afford the payments anymore, especially since it looks like the price is going up instead of down.

They charge you interest when you don't pay the 6 months same as cash. The only way you can use your in store credit is if you rent a new item, and then it is used at the back end of the agreement. *** if you could afford a new item, you wouldn't have returned the previous item. It is an easy way for them to keep money you have spent, it is a big loss for the customer.

Their payments are low because they know it will take longer to pay it off. They say the LDW is an options, but if you don't pay it after 2 times they threaten to come and pick it up. Sure they will work with you, but each free week they give you, the more interest they charge, jacking up your payments. Most of the merchandise is used items they got from repossessing another customer for non-payment.

If you can get arrested, then it is a shame, because they are the real thieves, charging you $3,000 for $800 product, and reselling a item that a customer has practcally paid off. It is DAMN if you do, or DAMN if you don't!
